- Open ⋯ → Chat background and click the + tile.
- Choose a photo (JPG, PNG or WebP) from your device.
- Use Darken and Blur until the messages are easy to read over it.
- Choose This chat or All chats, then Apply.
Your photo is encrypted before it leaves your device, like the photos you send in chats: our server only keeps an unreadable copy. Large photos are resized automatically.
